During President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's official visit to the United States at the invitation of President Donald Trump, leading American companies expressed readiness to expand cooperation with Uzbekistan in industrial modernization, energy, and technology.
A roundtable with major American corporations, investment funds, and financial institutions was attended by President Mirziyoyev and U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick. This was followed by a ceremony to exchange bilateral agreements strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States.
An Agreement on Cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Flowserve Corporation (USA) for the modernization of pumping stations using advanced energy-efficient technologies—strategically important for Uzbekistan's water management and industrial sectors.
Flowserve was represented by Dr. Karthik Sivaraman, Chief Technology Officer, who stated:
Uzbekistan is regarded as one of the key partners of the United States in Central Asia. Current developments create favorable opportunities for deepening cooperation, especially in sustainable development, modernization, and energy security.
